Have you ever found yourself in the position where you’re falling for a close friend of yours? There are times when this can work for the best – and there are also times where it won’t. Remember that romantic love has a way of just really complicating everything. You could have a perfectly healthy and happy friendship with a guy for a long time. 1. He says that he sees you as a sister.
You would never be interested in dating your brother, would you? Well, he would never be interested in dating his sister, either. And so if he sees you as a genuine sister, then you can assume that all bets are off between the two of you. He loves you, but not enough to be in a relationship with you.
2. He doesn’t typically ask you to hang out outside of a group setting.
He doesn’t want to get intimate with you at all. The only time you ever really spend together is in a group setting.
3. He willingly talks about other girls with you.
He talks about his exes with you. He talks about his prospects with you. He does this because he only sees you as a friend, and he has no real romantic interests in you at all. He only sees you as someone he can turn to for advice on women.
4. He tells you that he’s not looking to be in a relationship at the moment.
Either he’s telling you this to make you back off, or he’s genuinely just expressing himself to his friend. Regardless, he’s making it clear to you that he’s not interested in any romantic entanglements with you at all.
5. He doesn’t act jealous whenever you start dating other guys.
He thinks that it’s perfectly fine that you see other men because he isn’t invested in the idea of being your guy at all. It doesn’t matter to him much that you start dating other people. It doesn’t affect him.
6. He doesn’t put too much effort into trying to impress you.
He allows himself to be completely comfortable around you. He knows that you’re his friend and that you’re going to be his friend no matter what. He doesn’t put extra effort into making you more attracted to him.
7. He doesn’t consult you about his plans for the future.
He acts on his own accord because he doesn’t feel like he owes you anything. He doesn’t see a future where the two of you are romantically involved – and so he does whatever he wants.
8. He rarely ever texts you first.
He is never the one who reaches out first – unless he is asking you for a friendly favor. But otherwise, you’d practically never hear from him at all.
9. He hasn’t made a move on you.
Usually, if a guy friend is interested in you, he makes the first move. And if you’ve been friends long enough and he still hasn’t made a move on you, it’s probably because he’s not interested in anything more than what you already have.
