Sjava feels honoured receiving the 2020-2021 Language Activist Award from Pan South African Language Board (PanSALB).
The singer got the award because of his use of isiZulu in his songs. He’s also making effort to have everyone hear his songs, as he now makes his songs enjoyable for the deaf.
Taking to Twitter, he shared photos of the plaque and expressed gratitude.
“Hello, let me take this opportunity to thank you @PanSALB for honoring me with this Language Activist Award 2020-2021 award for my use of isiZulu in my songs and for my eloquence. Be proud of your garden,” he captioned post.
