AKA And Nelli Tembe Are Engaged

Rapper AKA and his bae Nelli Tembe have been getting some congratulatory messages flooding their socials. It was just another day on social media then AKA dropped a bombshell on and showed off this beautiful diamond ring on Nelli’s engagement finger – which could only mean one thing.

We have seen a number of surprise weddings, marriages and pregnancies coming from celebs who are super private with their lives. However with AKA and Nelli’s relationship, they have given us a fair insight at what their love looks like and we are just not surprised that it has come to this.

Apart from her being the love of his life, what AKA loves about Nelli is the fact that she is a private person and not a celebrity.  “Not a chance. She’s very private. First non-celebrity I’ve dated since …2008.”

Since he announced his engagement, AKA stans have been hard at work throwing shade at his previous lovers, DJ Zinhle and Bonang. Zinhle and AKA share a daughter Kairo Forbes and they broke things off in 2020.

It has not been all rosy for the couple though. We say this because of last year’s incident which saw them almost throwing hands at each other. Things almost escalated at the police station. The argument was caused by suspicions of infidelity between the couple and it took place at AKA’s Bryanston home.

The policemen on the scene according to City Press say they found the two going at it with Nelli eventually claiming she was tired of him and was moving out.

“When the police got to the house, they were still fighting and her bags were packed. She told the police that she was tired of his behaviour and was leaving [him]. She told them that she was going to book herself into a hotel and stay there before going [back] home,”

At Randburg Police Station Nelli claimed he man handled her and he says she slapped him. They almost laid criminal charges against each other however that did not happen. A few days later they were back in each other’s arms!

Super Mega even introduced her to Kairo.

We even got to know who said the three magical words ‘I Like You’ first on a Tik Tok video.

In the couple’s edition, the pair revealed that it was Super Mega who initiated the first kiss, sealing the deal with his new lady-love. They also shared that they are at the ‘I love you’ stage of their relationship, despite being confused about who had stated the essential three-word sentence first.
