Minister Blade Nzimande wishes the Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) students good luck as they start their exams.
So far the Nated Engineering, NC(V) and GETC-AET L4 have finished their exams without any challenges. The exam period should end on the 11 December 2020.
Within these TVET colleges, invigilators have been trained and are prepared for any situation that may arise.
According to the Department of Higher Education and Training monitors, the exams are running smoothly across all regions.
“All our exam centres are adhering to the COVID-19 protocols as captured in the Conduct Guidelines and it has been reported by the monitors that no late coming has been experienced and I applaud students for that,” said Nzimande.
The DHET will conduct staggered marking for both NC(V) and Nated from 21 November 2020, with planned completion on 31 December 2020.
GETC – AET Level 4 marking will also be in a staggered manner in collaboration with DBE, Provincial offices from 7 December 2020 with the last PED finishing marking on 14 January 2021.
The marking will be monitored by the department, through the TVET Branch, to ensure the credibility of the outcome of the results.
